I’m a UX leader, front-end developer, and design system builder with over 20 years in technology — much of that time focused on solving complex problems in healthcare. My career has been defined by uniting creativity and engineering to create tools and systems that endure.
I began my career working at the intersection of technology and design — developing educational interactives, leading art teams, and creating high-end medical animations. Roles at Truth-n-Beauty, Second Avenue Software, and Interact Mediaworks gave me a foundation in visual design, technical artistry, and mentoring creative teams.
That combination of design and technical expertise led me to creative director roles at media agencies: Infuse Medical and Heizenrader, LLC, where I defined the vision for mobile apps, serious games, and interactive learning experiences in the medical device industry. These years taught me how to lead large creative projects end-to-end under tight budgets and deadlines, collaborate with clients, and translate ideas into award-winning digital experiences.
In 2015, I joined Health Catalyst as the company’s first professional designer. What began as a contract role quickly grew into a decade-long journey of shaping the company’s design culture and systems from the ground up.
When Health Catalyst restructured in 2022, I shifted to lead Digital Design within Marketing. There, I spearheaded a complete overhaul of our public website — migrating from WordPress to Webflow, bringing development in-house, and saving the company $200K+ annually. I co-led a company-wide rebrand and rebuilt the entire digital presence to reflect the new identity.
For a decade, I’ve also been part of the core team behind Health Catalyst’s annual Healthcare Analytics Summit (HAS) — an industry-leading conference drawing 2,000+ attendees each year. My role has focused on digital engagement and technology innovation, from building custom apps to designing and running an entire virtual conference platform during the COVID years. I’ve been on stage introducing our tools, engaging audiences, and helping shape the culture of the event.
Throughout my career, whether building design systems, mentoring teams, or crafting products, my focus has been on clarity, collaboration, and impact. I believe design leadership is about creating systems that endure, empowering teams to do their best work, and improving the lives of the clinicians, analysts, and patients who use our tools.
